Our specifications have become standard practice for many other quality roofers in Southern California.
Meet the Owner, Tom
I started roofing in 1978 when I was employed by a federal work training program for troubled youth, called the Emergency Home Repair Project. We installed new roofs for disadvantaged homeowners in Portland, Oregon. I was lucky to be assigned to Chuck Peterson’s roofing crew. He really knew the roofing business AND how to work with troubled kids. By 1980, while still high school, I was writing my own roofing contracts. In 1985 I left Portland Oregon and its 40-degree rain and moved to Carlsbad, CA. In 1987 after two years with a large roofing company in Carlsbad, I got my State contractor’s license. I quickly developed a niche in leak detection and leak repair and added this to my residential and commercial roofing services. I’m a master at diagnosis and repair of roof leaks, solving many leaks that confuse other roofers. I’ve been a roofer since I was 16 years old. I share my wealth knowledge to freely with TWM staff and our customers. I don’t see each estimate as a “job” to sell, I see each estimate as a potential lifelong customer. I have many clients that have been with me over 20 years. I am accountable and reachable to all TWM customers or potential customers.
